Call Out For Field Day Coordinator, interested? PLEASE REACH OUT!

The NRH Office of Emergency Management invites you to the NRH Amateur Radio Club’s annual Field Day exercise on June 27 and 28. Activities will be held at NRH Fire and Police Training Center located at 7202 Dick Fisher Dr. N, behind the Animal Adoption & Rescue Center starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and continuing to 1 p.m. on Sunday. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Amateur Radio, which is sometimes called “ham radio,” allows people to experiment with electronics and communications techniques, as well as provide a free public service to their communities during a disaster, all without needing a cell phone or the internet. The Field Day demonstrates ham radio’s ability to work reliably under any conditions from almost any location and create an independent communications network.
